Busisiwe Tshabalala is operating her general dealer in Tshepisong Township around Dobsonville. When she started her business she had a van which she used to stock the products for the dealer. Unfortunately the van was stolen in 2004. In 2005 she was recruited by members of Chakatsa to join the Co-Operative. She was reluctant to join them because of the fake companies that exist in South Africa. She then decided to give it a try after discussing the matter with her husband. Her Husband assured her than she will never know if the Financial Services Co-operatives is for real until she tries it, after all in every situation there is always a lesson to be learnt.
She started saving R1000.00 with Chakatsa Co-operatives in 2006 and she is enjoying the benefits of her savings. The savings has enabled her to stock more groceries for her general dealer and supply the surrounding areas of Dobsonville. The business grew to an extent that now she is able to stock for R10 000.00 per week. She has also managed to buy a new single cab, thanks to Chakatsa Financial Services Co-operatives.
