Namda was approved by samaf in March 2008. There first disbursement  took place on the 15 of June 2008. They became fully operational in June 2008. samaf invested an amount of R4.5 million into NAMDA Pty.Ltd.

 

Unlike other provinces, the  Northern Cape Province had no developmental financial intermediaries. Its taken seven months of outreach to assist the community since the office has been operationalised  

 

The staff of samaf in the province has made the Financial Intermediary (NAMDA Pty. Ltd) ready for service delivery and now Namda is doing well serving their customers.

 

Beneficiaries of NAMDA thanked samaf and the Northern Cape office for their contribution and assistance in capacity building. “We are ready to assist other communities who need assistance interms of accessing samaf services. When the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Sithembele Mase visits Northern Cape we want to invite him to come and see how NAMDA is doing.  We are where we are today because of his hard work and dedication", said one member of Namda.

 

The Northern Cape office is always open to offer assistance in terms of transferring skills to NAMDA.
